Unlike standard wiper seals that simply scrape contaminants off the rod surface, KZT rings are specifically designed to trap and embed hard particles within the PTFE material, preventing them from scratching the rod or damaging the main seal .
How It Works
KZT dust seals operate through a combination of scraping and particle capture. The PTFE lip provides intimate contact with the piston rod surface, wiping away adhered contaminants. The special PTFE formulation allows hard particles to become embedded into the seal material rather than being dragged against the rod surface, effectively “burying” contaminants .
