Project Story
A medium-sized quarry operator in Mandalay, Myanmar, operates a fleet of 8 excavators and 5 wheel loaders, working 12-hour shifts, 6 days a week. The combination of high ambient temperatures (35-42°C), silica dust, and continuous operation cycles created an extremely demanding environment for hydraulic seals. The customer was replacing cylinder seals every 2-3 months, causing frequent unplanned downtime and escalating maintenance costs.

After being referred by a local equipment dealer, the customer contacted SANPING SEAL. We analyzed their operating conditions and identified that the generic seals they were using had inconsistent quality and poor resistance to heat and dust. We recommended our UNS series oil seals, made of high-grade NBR (Nitrile Butadiene Rubber) material, which provides excellent resistance to mineral oils, high temperatures (up to 120°C), and abrasion from dust contamination.

A pre-production sample was manufactured and tested on one excavator’s boom cylinder for 4 weeks. The test showed zero leakage and no visible wear. The customer approved full deployment, and SANPING SEAL supplied 800 pieces across 12 size specifications to cover all cylinders on the customer’s 13 machines.

Today, the customer reports that UNS series seals are lasting 10-12 months between replacements, a 70% improvement in service life. The customer has placed two repeat orders and has recommended SANPING SEAL to two other quarry operators in the region.
